For Congress Endorses the T. Boone Pickens Energy Plan |
Faulk
For Congress endorses the T. Boone Pickens Energy Plan as
an important part ofa more comprehensive National Energy Plan.
T. Boone Pickens is one of the leading energy experts in the
world today and we believe he has proposed the shortest term
plan to help turn around our dependence on foreign oil.
The U.S. simply can't afford to import 70% of our oil at a price
tag of $700 Billion/year ($7 Trillion next 10 years). There should
be no doubt in anyone's mind that at that rate we are incurring
capital destruction which
will break America. These shorter term savings can help fund
these changes going forward. Something must be done and
we are going to have to act together.
T. Boone Pickens has proposed the first chapter
shortest timetable recourse to help get us on track and focused toward a more
comprehensive energy plan which should be endorsed by congress.
His plan has the potential to cut imports by $300 Billion/year and it can be
accomplished within 10 years. During that same time we can greatly expand our
domestic oil production by opening up the OCS (Offshore Continental Shelf) reserves
for production. If we were to also decrease the outdated 42 month regulatory
approval burden on new nuclear energy facilities to arround 18 months we could
accomplish a great deal together within the next decade.
As T. Boone Pickens noted at the end of his video though.. It's important for
us to work together under the right leadership. The American public just can't
afford to have political fighting between branches of government where we can't
even form and focus on a comprehensive national energy policy any longer.

| February 4, 2008 - Joint
Heights GOP and Houston Young Republican Event |
On Super Tuesday, February
4, 2008, over 50 people took part in the joint Heights GOP and
Houston Young Republican event to watch the election returns. Those
in attendance included U.S. Congressional Candidate, John Faulk;
Judicial Candidates Sherri Dean and Donna Detamore; Ira Jones,
Harris County Assistant District Attorney, Retired; G. Ronald Aldis,
former Assistant Chief Deputy to former County Clerk Bob Turrentine;
Houston Young Republican President Chelsea Chapman and Republicans
from across the city.
Mike Huff, owner of Suzanne Anderson Properties, where the event was held, said, "I
am glad to see so many people who are passionate about Republican ideas turn
out for this event." The event also included a Conference Call with Newt
Gingrich made possible by the National Young Republican Federation. During the
call Gingrich gave his analysis of Super Tuesday election results.
Ch 13 News, the local ABC affiliate, was also on hand to cover
the event and interviewed some of those in attendance. "Overall
it seems that everyone had a great time and the enthusiasm was
high for ensuring a strong Republican turnout for the Texas primary
next month," said U.S. Congressional Candidate John Faulk.
The Texas Primary will be held on Tuesday, March 4th, with early
voting from February 19-22, 2008.

| March 5, 2008 - John
Faulk Wins the Republican Primary for the Texas 18th U.S. Congressional
District |
Houston, TX (PRWEB)
March 5, 2008 -- The Faulk for Congress Committee is pleased to
announce that John Faulk has won the Republican nomination for
the Texas 18th U.S. Congressional District, assuring that voters
will have a clear choice for change in the November 2008 General
Election. In an election that he believes "will change the
fabric of America," Faulk is now looking forward to going
head-to-head with Sheila Jackson Lee.
Although Sheila Jackson Lee
has a well organized machine to transport voters to the polls,
Faulk has "confidence that
the voters of the Texas 18th Congressional District are ready
for change". He is looking forward to eight months of campaigning
before the general election in November but is aware that he
will have to drive a tough campaign against an entrenched career
politician.
