Constituents of the 18th CD have access to major suburban hospitals and medical centers, the Houston central business district, many industrial parks, and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport with its international transportation support centers.
Major civic centers in the 18th CD include Minute Maid Stadium, home of the Houston Astros; Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets; and the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Visitors to the Houston, and to this area, have access to major hotels such as Hilton Americas, Doubletree, the beautifully renovated Magnolia, Crowne Plaza and Hyatt Regency – all located in the 18th CD.
